Safer Internet Day 2020
On February 11th, 2020 the KIT will provide information on the topic of IT security with a wide range of offers and materials within the framework of Safer Internet Day (SID). Most of these are now also available in English.
In 2020, the focus at KIT will be on the detection of phishing e-mails and other fraudulent messages and the safe handling of these. The event is jointly organized by the research group "Security, Usability, Society" (SECUSO), the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) and the Information Security Officer (ISB).
The SID has been held annually since 2004 and is an international day of action to promote online safety and a better Internet.

In addition to the various technical precautions, it is important that we protect the IT infrastructure of the KIT. How, is explained in this leaflet.
Fraudulent messages that give you a legitimate reason to send a message to you are very dangerous. You will receive information in a flyer and clear explanations in two short videos.
Phishing is a criminal method by which fraudsters try to harm you in different ways. With the NoPhish online training, you learn how to protect yourself.
If you have been a victim of cybercrime, e.g. through a fraudulent email, please report this immediately. You can find out here how concrete and what kind of incidents have occurred.
They help when you move fraudulent messages and spam to the Spam_KIT folder. You can find out how this works here.
Here you will find all materials such as posters, leaflets and information boards in printable format for downloading.
